Revised Start Dates
Woodstock, ON – Today, Dave MacKenzie joined by Oxford County Warden Paul Holbrough and Dave Levac, MPP for Brant announced the revised start date of six projects in Oxford. These projects are just one example of our governments’ commitment to stimulating the Ontario economy through the creation of jobs in our communities. The projects, initially announced in June, 2009 are just six of many projects funded across Ontario and Canada as part of the Infrastructure Stimulus Fund.

“This revised start date announcement is part of a long line of Federal funding and demonstrates a commitment to strengthening the growing economy and community of Oxford, said M.P and Parliamentary Secretary MacKenzie. “Thanks to the strong relationship between our governments, we can work together to help Ontario communities and the economy thrive immediately and in the future, the continued success of the Infrastructure Stimulus Fund is wonderful news for Oxford”.

“The County of Oxford has benefited from the financial partnerships with the senior levels of government, said Warden Holbrough. “ The benefits to the residents of Oxford County will be realized for years to come. Oxford County will continue to “Grow Stronger Together” as a result of improved infrastructure throughout the County”.

“These investments are vital to supporting economic progress in our communities, said MPP Levac. “As we come around from an economic downturn these types of investments into our communities create much needed jobs and economic derivatives”.
