Greetings, letters, scrolls

Please call or visit the office to order your scroll or letter.

• Any special birthday, event or congratulatory message

  • The MP will provide a commemorative scroll for such events with one week's notice.

• Birthdays

  • 65th and every 5th year thereafter from Prime Minister, 3 weeks notice.
  • 90th and every 5th year thereafter from Governor General, 6 to 12 weeks notice.
  • 100th and every 5th year thereafter from Her Majesty The Queen, 8 weeks notice.
  • (copy of birth certificate required)

• Wedding anniversaries
  • 25th and every 5th year thereafter from Prime Minister, 3 weeks notice.
  • 50th and every 5th year thereafter from Governor General, 6 to 12 weeks notice.
  • 60th and every 5th year thereafter from Her Majesty The Queen, 8 weeks notice.

Tickets to Question Period

If you are traveling to the National Capital Region, why not visit the House of Commons?

If the House is sitting Dave's office will arrange to provide tickets to the Members' Gallery.

We can also assist class trips and groups with their tour arrangements at the House of Commons.

Canadian pins and flags

If your school, group, or service club is planning a trip or an event, Dave's office will provide you with Canadian lapel pins and/or flags at no charge.

Individual constituents may request pins as well.

Please note that each MP receives an allotment of both pins and flags on a quarterly schedule. Both are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please visit the office in person to make your request.

Note, as well, that there is a multi-year queue for flags flown on the Peace Tower. Please contact the office for further details.

Passports

We have passport applications
  • Processing times vary aplease check with our office.
  • You must pay by credit card or money order. if you are mailing your application.
  • Adult passports,16 years and older, $87
  • Children passports: (under 16 years of age) $37 for children over 3 and $22 for children under 3
  • Adult passports are valid for 5 years. Child passports for children under 3 years of age are valid for 3 years and over 3 years for children 5 and older.
  • Passports will be returned to you via Express Post or by courier.
  • Although we will review your application on request, we cannot guarantee that your application will be approved by the passport office.

Employment Insurance

  • Application processing time is usually 6 weeks.
  • If your claim has not been settled after four weeks, we can contact Human Resources Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) on your behalf.

Canada Pension Plan Disability

  • It takes approximately 4-6 months to process a claim for CPP Disability.
  • If your claim has not been settled after 4 months, we can contact Social Development Canada on your behalf.
  • We can verify your CPP entitlement and Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS)
